Kia scores high once again! Today’s blog is short and sweet, but it contains some information you should know – especially if you are considering the purchase of a new vehicle. The Consumer Reports 2016 Annual Auto Reliability Study results have been released … and once again, Kia’s numbers continue turning heads. After checking in at number six in 2015, the brand did one better this time around, cracking the Top Five as the highest-finishing non-luxury nameplate.
The folks at Automotive News were most impressed by the fact that not a single Kia vehicle finished the survey with a below-average rating. It’s no wonder Kia can offer such a magnificent warranty on their new vehicles that is the best in the industry!
Isn’t it time you stopped by Kia of North Grand Rapids for a test drive? Feel free to drop by anytime … a warm welcome always awaits you!
Parts and Service Director Bryan Cady: “I love working here. I saw this as a fantastic opportunity to help start a dealership from the ground up and watch it grow. I was very fortunate to be able to get some terrific employees, and being here has exceeded my expectations.” Bryan has 29 years of experience in the industry, and it’s his leadership that has helped Kia of North Grand Rapids place in the top 50 out of more than 700 dealerships in Customer Satisfaction Index scores.
Steve Stefanits, Kia Elite Master Technician: Part of a father-son dynamic duo in our service department, Steve came to Kia of North Grand Rapids with 28 years of experience, including six with Kia. “I have been interested in cars for as long as I can remember,” Steve said. “I have been able to turn a hobby of mine into a job.”
Jeremy Stefanits, Kia Elite Master Techician: Jeremy is following in his dad’s footsteps after a time working in an automotive paint and body shop. He got his first exposure to cars at age 14 when he and his father took an old car and rebuilt it from the ground up. “We stripped it all the way down to the frame,” he said.
Dave Kasper, Michigan State Certified Technician: Dave has 35 years of experience, so there isn’t much he hasn’t seen during his career. Since coming to us in February, he’s been wowed by the Kia brand’s overall quality and design. “I know what I do and I talk to the other technicians. We don’t see the same problems happening over and over again, and that speaks to how well-made Kias are.”
During each of the last 17 years, the annual Best Global Brand list has been compiled by Interbrand. They rank worldwide companies based on a number of factors, including financial performance, the role the brand plays in influencing customer choice, and the strength of the brand in commanding a premium price or secure earnings for the company.
Why do we bring this up in today’s blog? Because Kia is not only on the list, but it keeps climbing higher and higher? This year, the brand checks in at No. 69, five slots better than the 2016 Best Global Brand report.
It is yet another testament to Kia’s significant and sustained growth – and the emotional attachment the band has with its customers. (Of course, a first-place worldwide ranking in quality doesn’t hurt, either!)
Kia of North Grand Rapids is your home for all things Kia, not to mention the friendliest service in town. Stop by today and take a closer look.
The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) made their safety testing standards a bit more stringent this year. Despite this, the 2017 Kia Sedona minivan “aced” every test administered, capturing Top Safety Pick+ status.
The Sedona scored high marks for its available Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system, which helps avoid forward collisions by warning the driver of an impending collision – then applying the brakes if no action is taken.
To achieve the lofty TSP+ goal, a vehicle is required to earn “good” ratings in five separate crashworthiness tests – and the Sedonas equipped with AEB received not only good, but superior front crash ratings.
Looking for the perfect vehicle that offers an elegant design, exceptional comfort, roominess and utility? Look no further than the 2017 Kia Sedona at Kia of North Grand Rapids.
