In the 2015 JD Power Initial Quality Study, Kia leads the way for all non-premium brands, and trailed only Porsche for the top spot overall. The Initial Quality Study, conducted by the nation’s leading independent research company, is based on responses from more than 84,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2015 model-year vehicles surveyed after 90 days of ownership.
The study, now in its 29th year, is based on a 233-question battery organized into eight problem categories designed to provide manufacturers with information to facilitate the identification of problems and drive product improvement. The study was fielded between February and May 2015.
The awards just keep pouring in for Kia! This month, U.S. News & World Report has honored the 2015 Kia K900 sedan and the 2015 Kia Soul with “Best Cars for Families” awards in the Luxury Large Car and Hatchback categories, respectively.
We love it when the experts recognize talent and give the Kia brand credit for being the versatile, affordable, and safe vehicles they are.
The U.S. News & World Report winners are based on “professional automotive reviews, safety and reliability ratings, seating and cargo volume, and the availability of family-friendly features.” U.S. News & World Report has published rankings for new vehicles sold in America since 2007, and the awards continue each vehicle’s string of recent accolades from respected organizations such as Robb Report, Cars.com and Kelley Blue Book.
Shop around: Get quotes from more than one company. Just be sure the company you choose is reputable – and when you’re getting quotes, be sure you’re comparing apples to apples.
Ask about discounts: A lot of insurance companies offer discounts for safety features, and to students with high grades, as well as senior citizens.
Buy a vehicle based on its projected cost: The make, model and year of your vehicle can significantly affect your insurance premiums.
Consider a higher deductible: The higher the deductible, the lower the cost in areas such as collision and comprehensive coverage. However, be sure to take a portion of the savings and set it aside in case you need to file a claim.
Decide how much coverage you really need: If your vehicle is older, you may decide that, because of its book value, it isn’t worth paying for collision or comprehensive coverage.
Maintain good credit: Many companies factor in a customer’s credit rating when determining their rates.
Drive less: Carpooling reduces driving, and some companies offer low-mileage discounts. Find out if you qualify.
Kia offers the stylish 2015 Forte in three body styles: a 4-door sedan, a 2-door coupe (Forte Koup), and a 5-door hatchback (Forte 5-Door). Overall, there is a lot to like about the new Forte, now on sale at Kia of North Grand Rapids. But don’t just take our word for it … check out what the experts have to say about Kia’s standout offering in the Compact Sedan segment.
With strong fuel economy, interior space, value, and an impressive list of available features that is almost unheard of in this segment, the Kia (Forte) is a strong contender in its class. ~ Motor Trend
To better compete in the small car segment, Kia redesigned the Forte last year. We were pretty impressed with the result, and it earned an ‘A’ rating from our staff as a result. And the 2015 Forte keeps that ball rolling. Pick the Forte and you get a fair price, peppy acceleration, generous standard features and a comfortable cabin with high-quality materials. ~ Edmunds
Put together, the Forte lineup is a strong competitor against established names like the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Ford Focus. One thing’s certain: The Forte makes picking a good compact car that much harder. ~ Kelley Blue Book
Perhaps no model is as emblematic of Kia’s progress as the latest Forte, a compact sedan that combines the value for which the automaker has become known, with an attention-grabbing exterior design and a high-quality cabin. ~Left Lane News
Stop by Kia of North Grand Rapids today and take a closer look at the 2015 Forte.
It could be because of the tremendous warranty. Then again, it could be because of the styling, value or safety. Chances are, the real answer is “all of the above.” Whatever the case, Kia surged to its best month ever in May, selling a record 62,433 vehicles! Big sellers were the Optima sedan and Soul “urban passenger” vehicle, while the Sorento and Sportage SUVs also moved well. The Forte also recorded its best-ever month.
We at Kia of North Grand Rapids are not surprised by this success, and we’re proud to offer the Kia product line to our customers!
Way back in March, we brought you some limited information on a Kia concept vehicle that has a great many people in the automotive world intrigued and excited. Called the Sportspace, it’s part sports car and part wagon; part performance and part luxury. We have found this video online for you to give it a closer look (scroll down to the bottom of the page and you’ll find it there). Enjoy!
About a month ago, we told you that the new 2016 Kia Sorento was named at Top Safety, getting a 5-star rating on the NHTSA front-impact, side-impact and pole tests by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Since then, its counterpart, the Institute for Highway Safety, has given the Sorento its “Top Safety Pick” status, the best rating a vehicle can receive.
These ratings all by themselves are extremely impressive, but when you see this commercial you’ll begin to understand why the experts gave it such a lofty rating. We think you’ll agree it was well-deserved.
Protecting your most precious cargo – yourself and your family – is always a top priority for Kia. It’s one more reason Kia of North Grand Rapids is proud to sell vehicles that an incredible package of style, performance, value and safety.
